Storms cause €8 million euro worth of infrastructural damage in Kilkenny

The cost of the recent storms to hit Kilkenny has been estimated at over 8 million euro.
The figure was revealed at a special meeting of the county council yesterday who says the cost to them is around 400 thousand euro.
Council staff and the Emergency services were praised at the meeting for their work particularly over the Christmas and New Year’s period.
Meanwhile a designated person has been assigned by the county council to help anyone with application forms for help and funding.
