Rock royalty Rod Stewart is coming to Kilkenny's Nowlan Park next summer as part of his Hits 2016 tour.
The gig will take place on Saturday, June 25 2016 and his Irish fans can expect to hear many of the songs that helped make his career stretch like spandex over the past 50 years.
Speaking about the tour, 70-year-old Stewart said: "Performing under the stars for my friends and fans next June will be a fun party because, let's face it, they bring out the best in me.
"Together, we'll make sure there will be some special memories."
In a career that began with him being called 'Rod the mod' in the 1960s, led on to him fronting The Faces before going solo in the mid-1970s, Stewart has amassed sales of more than 200 million albums and singles worldwide.
Stewart's latest album Another Country is co-produced by him and Kevin Savigar and is released on October 30.
Tickets for the Nowlan Park gig go on sale Thursday October 15.
