National Bike Week takes place from the 15th - 23rd June 2013 and once again Kilkenny County Council in conjunction with Kilkenny Recreation and Sports Partnership (KRSP) will run a number of events for bike week around the county:
Thursday 30th May - Adult Cycling Workshops- a reintroduction to cycling will take place at Gaelscoil Osraí on May 30th, June 6th and June13th from 7-8 pm each night.
Wednesday 19th June - Lunchtime Cycle - Meet on the Parade at 1.15pm and cycle around Kilkenny City using the network of cycle lanes.
Wednesday 19th June - Graignamanagh Cycle - Starting in Ballytiglea at 6.30pm. Contact Brian Roberts (086-4084008) or Alison Allan (086-0244336). All are welcome.
Wednesday 19th June - Mountain Biking Taster Session – Meet at Kells Priory at 7pm for taster mountain biking session in Knockdrinna Woods. Any mountain bike is suitable for the taster session on all mountain tracks. Come along and join in the fun! Please note: Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
Thursday 20th June - Make Kilkenny a better place to Cycle - Talk by Damien O’ Tuama in the town hall at 7.30pm. All are welcome.
Saturday 22nd June - Smarter Travel Saturday - Numerous events on and from the Parade
Sunday 23rd June - Castle to Castle Cycle - Leaving the Parade at 11am.
